Empire Energy (ASX:EEG) announces today at its Annual General Meeting that its Chairman and Non-Executive Director Paul Espie AO is retiring, effective from 30 May 2023.

Peter Cleary has been appointed as the new Chairman. Cleary is a leader in the oil and gas industry and holds relationships with commercial and government entities acquired over a 29-year career.

Additionally, Empire adds that the Board and Management team extend their sincere gratitude to Espie AO for his leadership and ‘significant’ contribution to the company since 2018.

Empire Energy is a Sydney based Australian oil and gas company, which wholly owns and operates assets with unconventional targets in the Northern Territory Beetaloo Sub-basin and central trough of the McArthur Basin.
